At least the night air isn't so cold tonight, and Nonon doesn't need to bundle up much.
Do I look like the kind of person who could deal with an obnoxious roommate? [ Or more accurately, does she seem like the kind of person anyone else could live with? ]
[ ..That's true. If they moved in together too it would likely be a mess. But that's about the only person she could be okay with. ]
You're trying to tell me that?!
[ Nonon turns back to angrily stare at the other girl. She had no thoughts like that!! But soon enough they are in Nonon's apartment building, heading up the elevator. ]
[ She might look at the other girl's face, but it probably won't be staring. She only stares at Ryuko, and honestly most of that is just sneering at each other in lieu of arguing. ]
It's an elevator, like every other elevator in the world. And I live on the sixth floor. [ Which happens to be where they are, with the elevator dinging and opening to a relatively simple hallway. And then it's Nonon's door where she swipes a key and it opens automatically. Inside it's reasonably cool, given her temperature settings, with pinks and pastels and music supplies and stuffed animals because obviously this is Nonon's place. ]
I've only had a few months to decorate, obviously.
[ ...Obviously?
She takes her bag through the living room to the kitchen, dropping it on the table to grab two glasses and filling them up with water, figuring that even a cardboard girl drinks water. ]
[ Because that would be a count of the days since she last saw Satsuki and that would be too painful. But two or three months since she's been here sounds right.
Nonon places the glasses on the table and sits, opening her salad, only slightly interested in seeing just what the other girl will decide to do. ]
[ Nonon's not staring at her though, she has little reason to. She's seen the other girl's face before, so it's only a short short looks between bites, holding her fork between her fingers when she talks, bouncing it purposefully. ]

We'll go back to my place then. And you can eat in the bathroom in peace or something stupid like that.

Do you really?

[ Nonon shrugs, heading out the door, assuming that the other girl will follow, if only to argue. ]
I figured it would be more of a self-selected isolation.

...You don't have a roommate, do you?

[she was the one dating Ryuko after all]
If it was just the two of us then I'll do it...
...just don't make this weird.

[maybe she should scamper off while there was still time... but she followed Nonon up to the elevator]
...is this elevator safe? What floor do you live on? Kahk kahk kahk...

... nice place. Kahk kahk kahk.
[not sarcasm, just... awkwardness]

But it's getting there.

[no objections from Scuttlebutt]

So, any more complaints for the newspaper?
no subject
[she'd... set her food out for herself at her place, slowly]
no subject
[ Myriam might be taking her time, but Nonon is already picking up a piece of leafy green and chowing down. She's so ladylike~. ]
So just nothing but fanmail then?
no subject
[she'll finally find a clean corner and... shrug off her box, folding it flat]
...
[then she'd slowly back toward the table]
no subject
She barely looks up to see the girl, now boxless, joining her at the table. Of course she can't keep her mouth shut... ]
No wonder you wear the box.
no subject
Huh? R-right... I told you why.
[she reached for the food she bought, to set it out cleanly with good manners...]
...
[then it occurred to her Nonon might be using something to record Scuttlebutt sitting there with her!! "BOX-GIRL UNMASKED" the headline might say!]
[she made a few hurried glances around the room, looking for possible hidden camera placements]
no subject
What the hell are you doing now?
no subject
... [she'd stop eventually]
no subject
[ Nonon isn't going to wait, she's just going to eat herself, and if the other girl wants her food she can eat at her own pace. ]
