You're mad that Ryuko was arrested and you had to find out about it from the paper, which means you not only weren't the first one to know, but whoever picked up the paper and read the article knew before you, and I personally had to know about it even longer to write the article.
[it really wasn't too uncommon a problem for a journalist to encounter-- getting a scoop so exclusive even family members and close friends didn't know it-- but it had taken Scuttlebutt off-guard because it hadn't happened to her before]
...Well, I'm sorry you had to find out that way. I didn't know you didn't know. I assumed either CERES would've told you or Ryuko herself would've... or possibly Athena and then you. And it happened on the printing deadline day, so I was busy running around doing the legwork to confirm the facts from the moment I heard about it. If it'd happened earlier in the week, I would've had time to contact you.
["for a quote on your reaction," rather than explicitly informing her separately, but she didn't need to say that right now.]
[ What difference would it have made? None really, but like hell does Nonon care about the logic behind it. She was mad about not getting a call, that's it. ]
Maybe if I knew sooner I could have helped her somehow. I don't know. They won't even let me see her.
Of course she wouldn't. She's a violent delinquent, but most of the time she just fights people who pick fights with her. And even then she wouldn't be stupid enough to start fighting the robots.
What good is detaining an immortal teenager girl?!
[ Oh, did she mention that Ryuko is practically immortal yet before? ]
Hell, everyone I know is now! But there's one person who hates Ryuko. Nui Harime. Though in her case maybe she just loves her which makes it even worse...
I'd blow up the entire detention center if I thought it would work.
[ She really, really would too. But she doesn't want to go to jail too... ]
Right now I'm just going to try to figure out what the hell really happened. I need to talking Miss Detective, and everyone else I know. I won't just leave her in there.
2/3, then
...would it help if I apologized again?
yes~
[ If not Nonon doesn't want another apology. ]

The biggest problem here is that I assumed that you would have called me anyway, because we were friends.

Maybe I'm wrong, but... I don't think they'll keep her there forever... you know?
[the decapitation thing sounded bad, but... she hadn't really thought in terms of "Ryuko is gone forever now"]
I mean... there's got to be some sort of reason for all this! Ryuko wouldn't just hurt people to hurt them.

...Obviously CERES is lying about everything.

If there was a criminal justice system, Athena probably would be two-thirds of a way to solving it!

[ Nonon is surprised to hear that, she hadn't thought of that. ]
I already talked with Athena, she thinks she can talk to the Mosley guy, but she isn't very confident it will do us any good.
...Maybe we should just kidnap him until they release Ryuko.

She was pretty anti-CERES, but then, a lot of people are. Kahk kahk kahk.
Was there anyone else that hates Ryuko here...?

Kahk kahk kahk... What do you plan to do?
I can fish out one of my photos of Nui for you... If, y'know, you think it'd help...

Miss Detective...?

I told you I wouldn't tell you her name. [ NICE TRY. ]

...it's not Shiho, is it?

[ Not that Nonon knows much about it yet. ]
no subject
...well, whatever.

[ She almost said Magical Mom. Now she's embarrassed about that nickname since Ryuko started teasing her about it. ]
Look. I'm not mad at you anymore, alright?

[pause... and sigh]
...I'm sorry... you know?

I know. You just need to get your head out of your box sometimes. [ She means that in a friendly way! ]
